Containers offer the most advantages with combined freight (street and rail) and freight transfers. By simply swapping the load carrier, the load is ready to head to a different destination with another vehicle. The decisive factor when buying a container is of course the dimensions. It should therefore be clarified which truck or trucks will carry the container before purchase. In most cases containers are available in the sizes: 7150mm, 7450mm and 7820mm, with loading heights of 1220mm and 1320mm.
Important when buying containers is that any cracks or rust are examined very carefully. The frame in particular should not have any damage. Walls, floor and ceiling of the container should not have any large dents or deformations. Check that doors open without problems and tarpaulins have no damage. If a container is used for international freight, then it has to also have a CSC safety approval plate.
One of the more popular makes of containers is Krone.
